

Once on the island, you'll need to find the location of the skeleton crew. You usually won't get a map of the island, so you'll have to match the name against the main map to find your target. The Order of Souls will start with a wanted poster of sorts - requesting you sail to a specified island in search of a Skeleton Captain or Crew to defeat. Be sure to use your compass and hold it up to your face, and you'll get a better indication and vibration of every step you take. Maps may indicate landmarks you will need to find, or precise steps taken from a spot. The next set of clues will have you traversing the island in search of landmarks - they might be a certain set of trees, non-living skeletons, or other standout landmarks.Īs you reach the last step, you'll usually be asked to walk in a certain direction - using your compass - and start digging!Īs your treasure hunts become more complex, you may have harder times finding treasure. Once on the island, take out the map to see the next clue appear.

In order to uncover more of the riddle, you'll need to unravel its clues. Other times, instead of a map you'll recieve a riddle - often in several parts. With the chest in your hands, the voyage will technically be complete - you can sell it to any Gold Hoarder at any of the Outposts for a reward - but so can other players if they steal it! If you were correct, you'll hear a 'thunk' and start pulling a chest up from the sands. Once you believe you are at the right spot, ready your shovel and start digging. Once on the island, you'll want to use the compass to orient yourself and head to the area with the X and use the topography to find the location. You'll have to match the shape of the island with the name on the Main Map in your ship to chart a course. Maps start out by only showing you the shape of the island but not the name - and an X marks the spot. If playing with others and sailing on the same ship, each member of the crew must place their proposed Voyage scroll on the table and then the crew must all vote for which quest to undertake. If sailing alone, you'll only need to place the Voyage scroll on your table opposite the main map on your ship and vote on it. A task that has you dealing with a "pitiful" skeleton, customer, or person's buried treasure will be easy. You can tell at a glance how difficult the Voyages are by the terminology used. Later, as your reputation increases, you will be able to buy promotions to take on harder missions - which may also incur more fees for better rewards.
